STRUCTURE
Emergency and crisis management requires functional and above all suitable operational structures. The general organisational structure of a company or an organisation is oversized and far too branched in most cases.
An efficient and effective approach in exceptional situations is made possible by slim and shallow structures (Special Organisational Structure).
Depending on the incident category, we work with the following structures:
- Head-of-Operations model (for category I emergencies)
- Operations-Staff (for category II emergencies)
- Crisis-Staff (for category III incidents)
PROCESSES
The five most important processes in emergency and crisis management are:
- Constant Leading Process
- Information Process
- Decision Process
- Status Report Process
- Briefing Process
Check lists and process guidelines, which are easily and practically usable in dynamic situation for involved people, have been developed by b&p for every process.
TOOLS
Suitable operational emergency and crisis manuals are part of the fundamental requirements for the mastery of dynamic situations.
The emergency manuals by b&p are based on many years of practical experiences with “tactical/operational requirements” of exceptional incidents. They are oriented towards incidents (result of the risk analysis) and therefore developed in the form of check lists.
Our crisis manuals are aimed at the strategic mastery of the consequences of negative incidents for the company or organisation. They determine the structure of the most important processes, show the necessary tools for documentation, describe the intersections in and outside of the affected organisation and define the requirements of the communication during crises.
